Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Ephesians, the writer encourages believers to find strength in the Lord. They are called to wear the armor of God to stand firm against evil. This armor consists of truth, righteousness, readiness for the Gospel, faith, salvation, and the word of God. Prayer is vital, reminding believers to stay alert and support one another. The writer seeks boldness in sharing the Gospel, even in the face of challenges.

In the Gospel of Luke, some Pharisees warn Jesus about Herod's plans. Jesus responds with resolve, affirming that his mission will not falter. He expresses sorrow for Jerusalem, wishing to protect its people like a hen gathers her chicks. He acknowledges their refusal to accept him, he speaks of a future time when they will recognize him as the one sent by God.
