Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Ephesians, the author reflects on the community's past lives filled with sin and disobedience. Despite this history, God, in His mercy and love, has given them new life through Christ. Salvation is a gift of grace that comes through faith, not from personal effort. Believers are created for good works that God has prepared for them, encouraging them to live out their faith.

In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus engages with a man who is concerned about an inheritance dispute. Jesus cautions against greed, explaining that life is not determined by material possessions. He shares a parable about a wealthy man who hoards his harvest, only to face God, who challenges the futility of his plans. This story shows that pursuing wealth without nurturing spiritual richness can lead to emptiness.
