Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Philippians, Paul speaks to the community mindset of Christ Jesus. Though divine, Jesus humbled himself by becoming human and serving others. He showed deep obedience by accepting death on the cross. Because of this selflessness, God exalted him and gave him a name that all creation honors.
In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus tells a parable about a man who prepares a grand dinner and invites many guests. When the time arrives, those invited offer excuses and turn down the invitation. The host then tells his servant to bring in those who are marginalized and overlooked, filling the banquet with them. This story shows how God's invitation is open to everyone, regardless of their past or status.
