Today’s Catholic Reflection
In the passage from Hosea, the Lord longs to reconnect with His people. He promises to lead them into the desert, a space for intimacy and reflection. Here, they will recall their early relationship with Him. The Lord vows to form a lasting bond filled with justice, love, and faithfulness. This renewal invites them to know Him.
In the Gospel of Matthew, we see two important miracles by Jesus. An official comes to Him, asking for help for his deceased daughter. A woman, suffering from a long illness, believes that touching His cloak will bring her healing. Jesus responds with compassion and authority, healing the woman and raising the girl. These miraculous acts inspire awe and spread throughout the region, showing His power over sickness and death.
