Peter addresses the crowd, sharing the story of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. He speaks of how Jesus was chosen by God and did many good works, healing those who were suffering. Peter witnessed the crucifixion and confirms that God raised Jesus from the dead. He encourages the people to believe in Jesus, who offers forgiveness to everyone who trusts in him.
Early in the morning, Mary of Magdala finds the empty tomb and quickly tells Peter and another disciple. They run to the tomb and see the burial cloths, though they do not fully grasp what the resurrection means. In another account, Mary and the other women meet an angel who tells them that Jesus has risen and instructs them to share this news with the disciples. Later, Jesus appears to the women, comforting them and urging them to spread the word about his resurrection.
