Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Wisdom 12:13, 16-19, we see God as the only true deity who cares for all creation. His power is tied to justice, and He rules with mercy. This allows for repentance and hope among His people. Those who are just should show kindness, reflecting God's compassion.
In Matthew 13:24-43, Jesus shares a parable kingdom of heaven. He compares it to a man who sows good seed in his field, only to have an enemy introduce weeds. When the servants ask weeds, the master tells them not to uproot them yet. He advises waiting until the harvest to separate them. The good seed represents the children of the kingdom, while the weeds symbolize those who cause sin. In the end, the righteous will be rewarded.
