Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Isaiah's vision, he sees the Lord on a magnificent throne, surrounded by seraphim proclaiming His holiness. The sight overwhelms him, and he feels unworthy because of his own sin and the sin around him. A seraph touches his lips with a burning ember from the altar, cleansing him of his guilt. When the Lord asks who will go for Him, Isaiah responds without hesitation, ready to serve.
In the Gospel, Jesus speaks with His Apostles challenges they will encounter as His followers. He tells them. Jesus highlights the worth of each person in God's eyes, comparing them to sparrows. He encourages them to share His message boldly. He assures them that those who stand by Him will be acknowledged, while those who deny Him will face the consequences.
