Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Hosea, the LORD invites Israel to return to Him. They are called to acknowledge their guilt and seek forgiveness. He promises healing and love, providing for them like dew on a plant. Israel will flourish and bear fruit as they turn away from their idols. They will come to know the compassion of God. The passage ends with the assurance that the paths of the LORD are straight, guiding the just while sinners stumble.
The Psalm reflects a deep plea for mercy and cleansing from sin. The speaker asks God to create a pure heart and renew a steadfast spirit within. They seek restoration and joy in salvation, vowing to declare God's praise. In the Gospel, Jesus warns His Apostles challenges ahead as they share His message. He reassures them that the Holy Spirit will guide their words during persecution and encourages them to endure. Salvation awaits those who remain steadfast in their faith.
