Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Hosea, the Lord speaks against Israel's leaders. They have chosen kings and princes without seeking His guidance. The people have turned their wealth into idols, which leads to their downfall. The Lord warns them that their empty worship and sacrifices will not be accepted. Their sins will bring punishment, and the imagery of sowing the wind and reaping the whirlwind shows the consequences of their actions.

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus heals a mute man who is possessed by a demon. The crowds are astonished by this miracle. Some marvel at His power, while the Pharisees accuse Him of using demonic forces. As Jesus travels from town to town, He teaches and heals. He feels compassion for the lost and encourages His disciples to pray for more workers to spread the Gospel.
