This meeting was particularly significant as it marked the 70th anniversary of Cardinal Simoni’s ordination, which took place on April 7, 1956.

In other news, Hawaii has officially declared April 27 as ‘Brother Joseph Dutton Day’. The Servant of God Joseph Dutton was a layman who dedicated his life to serving those afflicted with leprosy. He was a companion of St. Damien of Molokai and lived among the leprosy patients, providing them with care and compassion.
