The small Greek Catholic community of Fastiv, led by parish priest Fr. Vitaliy Martsyniuk, is engaged in carrying out charitable work assisting the most vulnerable people and the environment amidst the evil of war. Outreach includes the opening of a bakery where a person with Down syndrome works and many initiatives for a solidarity-based and sustainable economy.
