Segment I: Holy Family Catholic Academy students had a special guest speaker while learning about potential and kinetic energy. Fourth-grade students were able Zoom with Kevin Metrocavage, NASA’s International Space Station Operations manager and Space Operations Center manager. Students were enthusiastic for the opportunity to learn from this unique opportunity and be able to ask questions.

Segment II: The DePaul College Prep community stood in solidarity with Asian American & Pacific Islanders (AAPI) community over the recent shootings in Atlanta. Students, faculty and administration participated in two Solidarity Vigils and the “Stop the Hate” rally in Chinatown. This past fall, the AAPI Club began to raise awareness of the specific forms of racism and discrimination that AAPI people face and give them greater visibility and voice. They also seek to educate others and involve them as active allies in fighting anti-Asian racism.
