Today’s Catholic Reflection
Job contemplates humanity's relationship with God. He finds it difficult to justify himself before the Almighty. Job recognizes God's immense power and wisdom. He understands that no one can stand before God without facing consequences. Even if he believes he is right, he feels helpless in presenting his case.
In the Gospel, Jesus meets people eager to follow Him. He speaks of the challenges that come with discipleship. His mission does not promise earthly comforts. Jesus conveys the urgency of sharing the Kingdom of God. Those who hesitate or look back may not be ready for this path. This illustrates the true demands of following Him.
