In Ezekiel, the Lord speaks to the people of Israel. He addresses their concerns about fairness in His ways. When a righteous person turns away and does wrong, they will face consequences. However, if they repent and return to righteousness, they can preserve their life. This teaches us about personal responsibility and the chance for redemption.
In Philippians, Paul encourages unity and humility among believers. Followers of Christ are called to put others first. They are to adopt the mindset of Jesus, who humbled Himself and was obedient even to death. This selflessness leads to God exalting Him as Lord. In the Gospel of Matthew, a parable shows a father asking his two sons to work in the vineyard. The first son initially refuses but later obeys, while the second son agrees but does not act. This illustrates that true obedience is shown through our actions, not just our words.
