Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Galatians, those with faith are called children of Abraham. God intended to justify the Gentiles through faith, promising blessings to all nations through Abraham. Following only the law leads to a curse, as no one can achieve righteousness that way. Christ has taken this curse upon Himself. Now, the blessings promised to Abraham can reach the Gentiles, allowing them to receive the Spirit through faith.
In Luke's Gospel, Jesus encounters doubt from the crowd after casting out a demon. Some think He is using demonic power, while others want a sign from heaven. Jesus points out that a divided kingdom cannot stand. He urges them to reflect on who empowers their own exorcists. He warns that an unclean spirit can return stronger if a person is not filled with good, highlighting the importance of vigilance and spiritual readiness.
