Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Romans 8:26-30, the Spirit helps believers with their weaknesses, especially in prayer. Sometimes, they struggle to find the right words. The Spirit intercedes for them and connects their hearts with God's will. Those who love God can trust that everything works for their good. God has a plan for them, having known them from the beginning and destined them to become like Jesus. This journey includes calling, justifying, and ultimately glorifying them.

In Luke 13:22-30, Jesus travels through towns, sharing His teachings on salvation. When asked if only a few will be saved, He encourages people to strive for the narrow gate. He warns that many will not succeed. Jesus paints a picture of those outside a locked door, pleading for entry, only to be told they are unknown. He reminds us that many who are last will be first in the Kingdom of God, while some who are first will be last. This shows a shift in how we understand God's order.
