Today’s Catholic Reflection
In the passage from Ephesians, believers find comfort in knowing they are chosen in Christ. They see their hope in Him, who brings salvation and fills them with the Holy Spirit. This Spirit is a promise of their future inheritance and redemption, affirming their identity as God's own.
In the Gospel from Luke, Jesus speaks to a large crowd and cautions his disciples against hypocrisy, especially that of the Pharisees. He tells them that hidden truths will be revealed and encourages them not to fear those who can harm the body. Instead, he highlights the importance of honoring God, who has authority over life and death. He reassures them of their worth in God's eyes, caring for every detail of their lives.
