Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Isaiah, the Lord promises a great feast on a mountain for all people. It will be filled with rich food and fine wines. He will lift the veil that covers the nations and put an end to death. The Lord will comfort those who mourn, wiping away their tears and removing their shame. On that day, people will rejoice in their salvation and recognize the Lord's presence.

The Psalm speaks of trust in the Lord as a shepherd who meets all needs. He leads to peaceful places and restores the soul, offering guidance in tough times. The psalmist feels secure, knowing that goodness and kindness will follow throughout life. In the Gospel, Jesus tells a story about a king who invites guests to a wedding feast. Many refuse to come. After punishing those who rejected the invitation, the king opens the feast to everyone. Still, one guest is cast out for.
