Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Romans, we see that each person lives and dies for the Lord. All belong to Him. The passage cautions against judging others. Each of us will stand before God's judgment. We are all accountable to Him, and we will give an account of our lives.
In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus responds to the complaints of the Pharisees and scribes about His friendships with sinners. He tells parables of a shepherd searching for a lost sheep and a woman looking for a lost coin. Both celebrate their finds with joy. These stories show that there is great rejoicing in heaven when one sinner repents. Each person holds immense value in God's eyes.
