Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Wisdom 3:1-9, we see how God cares for the souls of the just. They are free from torment and find peace, even after facing trials. The foolish may see death as a tragedy, but the just hold on to hope for immortality. They will shine and have authority when God visits. Trust in Him brings understanding and envelops the faithful in His grace and mercy.
Psalm 23 offers comfort and guidance from the Lord, who is like a shepherd. The psalmist experiences peace and restoration in God's presence, even in dark times. Fear fades away with God's support. He promises abundant blessings, including a prepared table before adversaries and a lasting home in His house. Romans 5:5-11 speaks of God's love shown through Christ's sacrifice, bringing reconciliation and salvation. In John 6:37-40, Jesus assures us that He will not turn away anyone who comes to Him, promising to preserve and raise them on the last day.
