Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Jude, the author encourages believers to hold on to the teachings of the Apostles. They are called to strengthen their faith through prayer in the Holy Spirit. Remaining in God's love and waiting for His mercy is essential. This mercy leads to eternal life. The text advises showing mercy to those struggling in their faith, helping them find their way while being mindful of the consequences of sin. It concludes with praise for God's eternal glory and power.

The Psalm reveals a deep longing for God, likening the soul's thirst to a dry land needing water. The psalmist desires to experience God's power and glory, seeing His kindness as more precious than life itself. This longing inspires a commitment to bless and praise God in every moment. In the Gospel, Jesus is questioned by religious leaders about His authority. Rather than answering directly, He asks about John the Baptist's baptism, which leaves the leaders in a difficult position, forcing them to confront their own uncertainty.
