Today’s Catholic Reflection

Peter reminds us that we have been redeemed from our old ways. This redemption comes. who is like a pure lamb. This sacrifice was known before the world began, but it became clear in the last times. Through faith in God, who raised Jesus from the dead, we are called to love one another sincerely and from a pure heart. We have been spiritually reborn through the enduring word of God, which outlasts the fleeting nature of human life.

In the Gospel, Jesus predicts his suffering and death as he journeys to Jerusalem. He speaks of the hardships he will face at the hands of religious leaders and Gentiles. Still, he assures his disciples that he will rise again after three days. When James and John ask for positions of honor, Jesus teaches them about true greatness. It comes from serving others, not from seeking power. He clarifies that his mission is to serve and sacrifice for many, showing us an example of humility and selflessness.
