Today’s Catholic Reflection
Jeremiah feels the weight of a conspiracy against him. The Lord reveals this to him. He sees himself as a trusting lamb, unaware of the dangers around him. He turns to God, the just judge, asking for justice against those who wish to harm him. His faith in the Lord offers him hope and protection.
In the Gospel, people respond to Jesus with mixed feelings. Some believe he is the Prophet or the Christ, while others doubt his background. This disagreement creates tension, with some wanting to arrest him but holding back. The guards, moved by Jesus' teachings, stand up for him. Meanwhile, the Pharisees dismiss the crowd's support and challenge Nicodemus, who seeks fairness. The scene closes with everyone going home, showing the division among the people.
