Today’s Catholic Reflection

Paul writes to Timothy, expressing his gratitude for him. He encourages Timothy to embrace the gifts God has given him. Paul reminds him to stay strong and not be ashamed of his faith, even when faced with challenges. He assures Timothy that God has called them to a holy life, grounded in grace and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Paul has confidence in God's ability to protect what has been entrusted to Timothy.

In the Gospel, the Sadducees pose a question to Jesus about resurrection and marriage. They describe a situation where a woman marries seven brothers, each dying without children. Jesus corrects their misunderstanding of Scripture and life after death. He explains that in the resurrection, people will. He affirms that God is a God of the living and highlights the promise of eternal life.
