Today’s Catholic Reflection
In 1 John, the writer speaks about victory through faith in Jesus as the Son of God. Jesus came through water and blood, and the Spirit affirms His true identity. God's testimony about His Son holds greater weight than any human words. Those who believe in the Son have eternal life. Those who do not believe are turning away from God's truth and miss out on life.
In the Gospel of Luke, we see a touching moment between Jesus and a man with leprosy. The man approaches Jesus, showing faith in His healing power. Jesus responds with kindness, touching him and declaring him clean. This leads to an immediate healing. Jesus then tells the man to follow the law and present himself to the priest, while He seeks time alone for prayer, even as crowds gather around Him.
