Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Isaiah 58:7-10, the Lord speaks to His people about caring for those in need. He asks them to share food, provide shelter, and clothe the vulnerable. Compassionate acts lead to healing and support from God. When they turn away from oppression and falsehood, they will find light in their darkest times. Their prayers will reach the Lord.
Psalm 112 continues this theme, portraying the just person as a light in the darkness. Generosity and steadfastness define them. In 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, Paul shares his dedication to preaching about Jesus Christ. He does. The Gospel of Matthew 5:13-16 reminds believers that they are the salt and light of the world. Their good deeds can shine brightly, leading others to glorify God.
