Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Ezekiel, the Lord speaks about repentance and the consequences of our actions. A wicked person who turns from sin and follows God's laws will find life and forgiveness. In contrast, a virtuous person who turns to sin will face death for their choices. The Lord questions what is fair, showing that it is the people's actions that are unjust. This teaches us the importance of turning from sin to receive life and forgiveness.
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus guides His disciples on understanding righteousness. He explains that anger towards others can lead to judgment, likening it to murder. Jesus stresses the need for reconciliation before presenting gifts to God. Harmony with others is essential for true worship. He warns of the dangers of unresolved conflict, encouraging individuals to settle disputes quickly to avoid serious consequences.
