Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Genesis, after Adam and Eve eat from the forbidden tree, God looks for Adam. Adam hides because he is afraid. When God questions him, Adam admits his mistake. He blames Eve for giving him the fruit, while Eve blames the serpent for tricking her. God curses the serpent and foretells that the woman's offspring will defeat evil. Adam names his wife Eve, recognizing her as the mother of all humanity.
The Psalm invites everyone to sing joyfully to the Lord for His wonderful deeds and salvation. In Ephesians, Paul shares how God blesses believers with spiritual gifts. He speaks of their calling to be holy and adopted through Christ. The Gospel tells of the angel Gabriel visiting Mary to announce that she will conceive Jesus, the Son of God. Despite her confusion, Mary embraces her role as the Lord's servant, showing her faith in God's plan.
