Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Zechariah 2:14-17, the Lord expresses His joy and promises to be with His people. He invites them to rejoice. Many nations will come together with the Lord, and He will claim Judah in the holy land. Jerusalem is reaffirmed as His chosen place. The passage ends with a call for everyone to be silent before the Lord, who is awakening from His holy dwelling.

In Revelation 11:19a; 12:1-6a, 10ab, we see a vision in heaven. The temple of God opens, revealing the ark of the covenant. A woman, clothed with the sun and crowned with stars, is in labor to give birth to a son who will rule. A dragon waits to devour the child, but the son is taken up to God. The woman finds safety in a prepared place, and a voice in heaven announces the arrival of salvation and the Kingdom of God.
