Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Acts 3:11-26, a crowd gathers around Peter and John after witnessing a miraculous healing. They are amazed by what has happened. Peter speaks to them, explaining that it was not their power that healed the crippled man. It was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who glorified Jesus. He reminds them of their part in denying Jesus and urges them to repent for forgiveness and renewal. Peter connects the healing to God's plan for salvation and encourages the people to turn away from their wrongdoings.

In Luke 24:35-48, the disciples share how they recognized Jesus during a meal. Suddenly, Jesus stands among them, offering words of peace. They are frightened, thinking he might be a ghost. He invites them to touch him and eats in their presence to show he is real. Jesus explains how his suffering and resurrection were foretold in Scripture. He commissions the disciples to share the message of repentance and forgiveness with all nations, starting from Jerusalem, affirming their role as witnesses.
