Today’s Catholic Reflection
In the passage from 1 Peter, the author speaks about humility in our relationships. God favors the humble and stands against the proud. Believers are encouraged to share their worries with God, who cares deeply for them. They are reminded to stay alert against the Devil, who seeks to lead them off course. After enduring suffering, God promises to restore and strengthen them, affirming His eternal authority.
The Gospel of Mark shares Jesus' final instructions to His disciples. He sends them out to share the Gospel with everyone. He promises that those who believe and are baptized will be saved, while those who do not believe will be condemned. Jesus assures them that believers will perform miracles, heal the sick, and speak in new languages. After giving these commands, He ascends to heaven, and the disciples begin their mission, supported by the Lord through signs and wonders.
