Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Acts 8:26-40, an angel tells Philip to go south on a desert road. On this path, he meets an Ethiopian eunuch. This man is a high-ranking official returning from Jerusalem and is reading the prophet Isaiah. When Philip asks if he understands the text, the eunuch admits he needs help. Philip explains the passage about suffering and injustice, showing how it relates to Jesus.
As they travel together, they come across some water. The eunuch asks to be baptized, and Philip agrees. They both enter the water for the baptism. Afterward, the Spirit of the Lord takes Philip away, and the eunuch rejoices as he continues his journey. Philip goes on to share the good news in many towns until he reaches Caesarea.
