Today’s Catholic Reflection

After Peter and John were released, they went back to their fellow believers. They shared the threats they had faced from the religious leaders. The group came together in prayer, calling on God as the creator of everything. They spoke of the opposition to Jesus and asked for strength to preach boldly. As they prayed, the ground shook, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit, giving them the courage to share God's word.

In the Gospel, Nicodemus, a Pharisee, came to Jesus at night. He recognized Jesus as a teacher sent by God because of the miracles He performed. Jesus told him that a person must be born from above to see the Kingdom of God. Nicodemus was confused and asked how an old man could be born again. Jesus explained that being born of water and Spirit is necessary for entering the Kingdom. He said that the Spirit moves in ways that are mysterious, like the wind.
