Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Acts 2:42-47, we see the early Christian community dedicated to the teachings of the apostles. They shared their lives and participated in meals and prayers together. Awe filled their hearts as the apostles performed many signs and wonders. They took care of one another, ensuring that everyone's needs were met. Their joyful gatherings drew the attention of many, leading to more people joining them each day.

In 1 Peter 1:3-9, the author celebrates the new birth and living hope that believers have through Jesus' resurrection. This hope brings an inheritance that is imperishable and protected by faith, even when faced with trials. Believers find joy in their faith, even though they have not seen Jesus. They look forward to their salvation with deep anticipation. In John 20:19-31, Jesus appears to His disciples after His resurrection, bringing them peace and commissioning them for His work. Thomas, who doubted, ultimately believes when he sees Jesus, and Jesus blesses those who have faith without needing to see.
