Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Acts 4:13-21, Peter and John stand before the Sanhedrin after healing a man. They show great boldness, even though they are seen as uneducated. The religious leaders are surprised, especially when they notice the healed man with them. Unable to deny the miracle, the leaders warn Peter and John not to speak in Jesus' name again. Peter and John respond firmly, saying they must obey God, declaring they cannot stay silent about their experiences.
In Mark 16:9-15, after Jesus rises from the dead, he first appears to Mary Magdalene. She shares the news with the disciples, but they do not believe her. He then appears to two disciples on their way to the countryside, who report back, but their testimony is dismissed. Finally, Jesus appears to the Eleven disciples and rebukes them for their disbelief. He commands them to spread the Gospel to all creation, marking the start of their mission to share his message.
