Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Ephesians, the writer shares a heartfelt prayer for the community. He asks the Father to strengthen them through the Holy Spirit. This strength will help them grasp the vastness of Christ's love, which surpasses human understanding. The aim is for them to be filled with God's fullness, recognizing His ability to do more than they can imagine. The passage ends with a doxology, praising God in the Church and in Christ for all generations.
In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus speaks to His disciples impact of His mission. He expresses a desire for the earth to be set ablaze. This shows the urgency of His purpose. Jesus acknowledges that His coming will bring division among families. This division reveals the profound changes that faith in Him can bring to personal relationships and society.
