Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Ephesians, the author speaks of the grace he received from God. This grace enables him to share the mystery of Christ. This mystery reveals that Gentiles are now coheirs with the Jews. They are part of the same body through the Gospel. The author sees himself as a minister chosen to proclaim the riches of Christ and to reveal God's eternal plan through the Church.
In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus tells a parable about being ready for the master's unexpected return. He warns his disciples that just as a thief comes at an unknown hour, the Son of Man will also come unexpectedly. Jesus stresses the importance of being a faithful steward, caring for others and fulfilling our responsibilities. Those who neglect their duties will face consequences, while those who are diligent will be rewarded. This message highlights accountability based on the knowledge and responsibilities given to each person.
