In Isaiah, the Lord addresses Cyrus, the one He has chosen to lead and fulfill His plan. God asserts His authority, declaring that there is no other God. He has called Cyrus by name, guiding him for the sake of Israel and supporting those He has chosen.
The Psalm invites all nations to honor the Lord, celebrating His greatness and the wonders He has done. It acknowledges the Lord's supremacy, encouraging families and nations to worship Him as King. In the New Testament, Paul expresses his gratitude for the Thessalonians, recognizing their faith and the impact of the gospel. In the Gospel, Jesus responds to the Pharisees by affirming the importance of meeting obligations to both earthly authorities and God.
