Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Galatians 3:22-29, Paul shares that before faith in Jesus, people were guided by the law. This law helped them until faith was revealed. With faith, believers become children of God through Christ. Baptism into Christ brings a new identity, uniting all believers regardless of their background. Those who belong to Christ are heirs to the promise made to Abraham.
Psalm 105 speaks of God's lasting covenant. It encourages praise and remembrance of His great deeds. The psalmist invites Abraham's descendants to recognize their unique bond with God, who rules the earth with fairness. In Luke 11:27-28, a woman praises Jesus' mother, but Jesus shifts the focus. He says that true blessing comes to those who hear and follow God's word. Active faith and obedience are essential for receiving blessings.
