Today’s Catholic Reflection
In the passage from Jeremiah, God tells the prophet to write down His words. The Lord sees the deep wounds and suffering of His people. Their pain comes from their sins and a lack of support. Still, God promises to restore them. The cities will be rebuilt, and the people will thrive again. He will be their God, and they will be His people, bringing a future filled with hope.
In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus walks on water to reach His disciples. They struggle against strong winds in their boat and are frightened, thinking He is a ghost. Jesus reassures them, and Peter asks to join Him on the water. When doubt creeps in, Peter begins to sink, but Jesus saves him. Once they are back in the boat, the wind calms, and the disciples recognize Jesus as the Son of God. After reaching land, people bring the sick to Him, seeking healing in His presence.
