Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Zechariah 9:9-10, the Lord invites joy and celebration in Zion and Jerusalem as a king approaches. This king is just and humble, riding on a donkey. He will bring peace and put an end to weapons and warfare. His reign will stretch across the earth. We see the arrival of a savior who embodies meekness and justice.
The psalmist praises God for His everlasting kindness and mercy. He affirms God's goodness to all creation. The faithful are encouraged to express gratitude and share about God's kingdom and power. In Romans 8:9, 11-13, Paul reminds believers that living in the Spirit brings life, while a life led by the flesh leads to death. In the Gospel of Matthew 11:25-30, Jesus invites the weary to come to Him for rest, highlighting His gentle spirit and the lightness of His yoke.
