Today’s Catholic Reflection
In Ephesians, the community is described as fellow citizens and members of God's household. They stand on the foundation laid by the Apostles and prophets, with Christ as the cornerstone. This foundation brings the community together, allowing it to grow into a sacred temple where God dwells through the Spirit. The passage reflects the unity and purpose of the believers in God's design.
In the Gospel of John, Thomas, one of the disciples, finds it hard to believe in Jesus' resurrection without physical proof. When Jesus appears, he invites Thomas to touch his wounds. This leads Thomas to proclaim his faith. Jesus acknowledges Thomas's belief and blesses those who believe without seeing. This interaction shows the essence of faith and the invitation to trust in what is unseen.
