A Catholic peace group is organizing lantern float ceremonies worldwide this summer to honor the victims of nuclear weapons. The group hopes that these ceremonies will serve as a poignant reminder of the devastating impact of nuclear warfare and a call for peace and disarmament.

Cardinal Müller, the former Vatican doctrine chief, has likened the Society of St. Pius X to the ancient Donatist schism. This statement comes just days before the society’s planned episcopal consecrations at Écône on July 1. The Cardinal has defended the Latin Mass and called the consecrations schismatic.

The GIVEN Catholic women’s leadership forum is encouraging young women to recognize their value, with the message ‘You are a gift’. The forum will also honor Mother Agnes Mary Donovan, SV, with its Fiat Award. This award is given to women who, through their faithful leadership, service, and love, embody the response of Our Lady.

The pope reflected on the Jesuits’ four Universal Apostic Preferences: the Spiritual Exercises, walking with the poor, fostering a hope-filled future, and caring for creation. These principles, he suggested, provide a strong foundation for addressing the issues of today.
