Today’s Catholic Reflection
Moses tells the people they are chosen by the Lord because of His love. It is not their size or strength that matters. The Lord freed them from slavery in Egypt, showing His power and commitment. He is faithful to His covenant, rewarding those who love Him and follow His commandments. The people are encouraged to observe His laws carefully.
The psalm speaks of gratitude for the Lord's kindness toward those who revere Him. His compassion brings forgiveness and healing. He does not treat us according to our sins. In the New Testament, John speaks of love as coming from God. Jesus invites the weary to find rest in Him, offering a light burden and gentle guidance. This reflects His humble nature.
