Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Genesis, humanity spoke one language. They worked together to build a city and a tower to make a name for themselves. The Lord saw their ambition and decided to confuse their language. This caused them to misunderstand each other and led to their scattering across the earth. The city was named Babel, reflecting the confusion from their pride.

Moses received a message from the Lord. He reminded the Israelites of their deliverance from Egypt and called them to be a holy nation. When Moses shared this, the people agreed to follow God's commands. Later, as Moses approached Mount Sinai, the Lord descended with thunder and fire. This signified His presence and the importance of the covenant with His people. This moment marked a turning point in their relationship with God.
