Today’s Catholic Reflection
Paul met with the leaders of the Church in Ephesus in Miletus. He thought about his time with them and his dedication to serving the Lord through challenges. Paul spoke of his commitment to continue his mission, even as he faced hardships in Jerusalem. He assured them he had shared God's message completely and felt at peace about their spiritual well-being.
In the Gospel, Jesus prayed to the Father as his time on Earth was nearing its end. He asked for glory, having fulfilled the work set before him, which included revealing God's name to those who believed. Jesus acknowledged the deep bond between himself and the Father, noting that his followers belonged to both. He prayed for his disciples, recognizing their faith and the difficulties they would encounter after he was gone.
