Today’s Catholic Reflection
On the Seventh Sunday of Easter, we reflect on Jesus' departure and the promise of the Holy Spirit. Jesus prepares his disciples for his ascension into heaven. He reassures them that they will not be alone. He tells them to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit, who will empower them for their mission.
As the disciples watch Jesus ascend into the sky, they experience a moment of wonder. They look toward heaven with anticipation. The promise of the Holy Spirit fills them with hope and guidance. They are ready to share the message of Jesus with the world.
