Today’s Catholic Reflection

In Antioch, Paul speaks to the synagogue. He addresses the descendants of Abraham and those who fear God. He tells them that the leaders in Jerusalem did not recognize Jesus. They found no reason to condemn him, they urged Pilate to execute him. After fulfilling the prophecies, they buried him, but God raised him from the dead. Paul shares that Jesus appeared to many witnesses and brings the good news that God has kept his promises by raising Jesus, affirming his divine sonship.

In the Gospel, Jesus comforts his disciples. He tells them not to be troubled and to have faith in God and in him. He assures them that there are many rooms in his Father's house and that he is preparing a place for them. Jesus promises to return and take them to himself. When Thomas feels confused way, Jesus tells him that he is the way, the truth, and the life. He reminds them that no one can reach the Father except through him.
