The Vatican has annulled several parish fund transfers in the Buffalo Diocese, responding to a disputed merger plan. The Dicastery for the Clergy invalidated Buffalo Bishop Michael Fisher’s “assessment allocation decrees” following appeals from the affected parishes. This decision comes amid ongoing discussions about the future of the diocese and its parishes.
