Today’s Catholic Reflection

Paul and his companions traveled from Paphos to Perga in Pamphylia. There, John chose to return to Jerusalem. They moved on to Antioch in Pisidia and went to the synagogue on the Sabbath. After the readings, the officials invited Paul to speak. He shared the history of Israel, highlighting God's choice of their ancestors, their liberation from Egypt, and the establishment of judges and kings, leading to the promise of a savior, Jesus.

In the responsorial psalm, the faithfulness and kindness of the Lord shine through. His eternal support for David and his descendants is celebrated. The psalmist shows a commitment to proclaim the goodness of the Lord through generations. In the Gospel, Jesus washes the disciples' feet and teaches them about humility and service. He reminds them that no servant is greater than their master and that accepting His messengers means accepting Him and the one who sent Him.
